Maximum 8 per classOur Aquatots classes are designed to help your child develop water confidence and safety skills through a range of safe and enjoyable aquatic activities. Water safety skills taught include breath holding, spider-walking, basic kicks and paddles, and turning and grabbing the wall unaided.
TADPOLES
From approximately 3 years.
Maximum 4 per class
In tadpole classes, your child will develop independence in the water as they learn aquatic survival skills such as kicking and paddling unaided across the pool, floating on their back and the commencement of freestyle arms.
FROGS
From approximately 5 years(if beginner).
Maximum 4 per class.
Frogs are introduced to two swim strokes, freestyle with breathing (bubble arm, breathing arm) and backstroke arms. In order to graduate from this level, students must be able to swim one lap of each stroke displaying relative strength and good hand and body position in the water.
DOLPHINS
Maximum 5 per class.
Dolphins learn two new swimming skills, breaststroke kick and bilateral breathing freestyle, while continuing to refine their backstroke and strengthen their general swimming skills. To graduate, Dolphins need to display two laps of bilateral breathing freestyle and one lap each of backstroke and breaststroke kick.
SHARKS
Maximum 6 per class
New backstroke and breaststroke skills will be taught to sharks. They will learn body rotation in backstroke and breaststroke arms. To graduate they must demonstrate two laps each of bilateral breathing freestyle and backstroke and one lap of breaststroke.
MINI SQUAD
Maximum 15 per Squad.

The final class in ‘Learn to Swim’ is a smaller, simpler version of Bronze Squad, the first 25 metre pool squad. Swimmers will begin to develop some of the more advanced swimming techniques as they learn continuous arms in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, and the butterfly kick. Swim fins are required. These are available for purchase from the kiosk.
SQUAD FOR ALL LEVELS
We have a number of swim squads available for both children and adults. The children’s squads start with Bronze, Silver, Gold then State squads. Graduation criteria are ability based and ensure a steady development of efficiency. All squad sessions are available Monday to Friday.
ADULT FITNESS AND STROKE CORRECTION
Adult squads and Adult ‘Learn to Swim’ classes are conducted in the mornings and cater for adults of all ages and swimming capability.
